So you know the last posting with the princess shots? My friend and the parent of one of the little models shot some behind the scenes photos. I thought you might find it interesting to see how we made this come together.
And more postings coming soon. I have been so busy and posting work just takes a few more minutes out of the day, but I'm going to try to keep it up. And on a personal note, my youngest daughter is turning 9 in about a week. Holy cow.
So, I was driving in Aurora about a month ago and glanced over to see these beautiful dresses in a store front. Of course my mind started spinning with thoughts and the idea came to me of having these dresses in a window with these little girls who had just walked up and were in awe of these beautiful gowns. Well, after a whole bunch of planning and the work of a team of people, we pulled it off. This is really the image I envisioned and it happened because of my assistant, Victoria, my clothing/stylist friend Rachel, the store owner and employees of American Male/Jacqueline Dresses in Oswego, Kate who volunteered to dress up and and to stand inside for over an hour waiting to be cued, and of course the fantastically cute and talented little models and their moms.

I had such a great time with this group of kids I thought I would post a few more from the session. I'm also really excited about a commercial shoot happening this Thursday. Keep checking back for postings after Thursday.
Just imagine princesses, little girls and dreams, because that's what it's all about.
So we are going for a family bike ride tonight and the the neighbors are watering the lawns. The kids ride through the water and I look back to see this glorious light coming through them. I say to my wife "wait!". She knows what I'm thinking, so she rides on and I get the camera. We did actually finish the bike ride, but they were a little on the damp side, a ton of fun though.

When I told her I was doing a session in a location with 2 horses even though I mentioned I was going to hang a large print of her from the horse session we shot a few weeks ago. Didn't matter, she wanted to be there.
I grabbed a handful from this session. The horses did show up in other photos not posted and the kids were a dream to have as my little subjects, they were awesome. Thanks Lisa!
